BRENHAM MAN CHARGED AFTER ACCIDENT
(Washington Co. Jail)
A Brenham man faces charges after his arrest early this (Friday) morning.
Just after 1 a.m., Cpl. David Dudenhoeffer responded to an accident in the 900 block of S. Austin St.
When he arrived, Dudenhoffer says there was no vehicle on location, but a telephone pole had been hit.
At the same time, Officer Sierra Newell conducted a traffic stop in the 1000 block of N. Park St.
According to Newell, the driver—44 year old Troy Edward Seeker, had a strong smell of alcohol on his breath and an open container in the car, which had severe damage to it.
Cpl. Steven Eilert arrived at Newell’s location to conduct a field sobriety test on the driver.
Authorities say Seeker didn’t know what had happened to his car and couldn’t perform the field sobriety test.
Seeker is charged with Driving While Intoxicated; Fail to comply with duty striking fixture.
This is so sad! I feel bad for Troy & his family! When things like this happens everyone in his immediate circle of family & friends is affected in someway or another! I hope it ends well!
