BRENHAM MAN CHARGED WITH ASSAULT
A Brenham man faces an assault charge after his arrest late Wednesday night.
(Washington Co. Jail)
59-year old Bennie Wayne Williams is charged with Assault Causing Bodily Injury – Family Violence.
Wednesday night, just after 11:00, Cpl. Todd Ashorn responded to the 800 Block of Brown Street.
The alleged victim reported that she and her boyfriend had been drinking and gotten into an argument.
The caller told police Williams grabbed her by the shirt and struck her in the head several times, injuring her ear and hand.
Police say the victim sustained a broken finger and a bloody ear from an earring being ripped out during the altercation.
The charge against Williams is a Class-A misdemeanor.
