BRENHAM MAN CHARGED WITH ASSAULT FOLLOWING DISTURBANCE
(Washington Co. Jail)
A Brenham man faces multiple charges after his arrest following a disturbance early Wednesday morning.
53-year old Melvin Vernon Ragston was taken into custody just after 3:00 A.M,
Brenham Police were dispatched to 300 block of Shepard Lane for a disturbance.
Upon arrival Cpl. Jonathan Phipps found that a verbal argument between a man and a woman had turned physical.
Ragston arrested and taken to the Washington County Jail where he was booked on, Violation of a Protective Order, Terroristic Threat, and Assault of a Family Member.
