  1. Okay let me get this straight one person said and I quote, “he would not have beenot at the park at all if the drug wasn’t illegal and pushing people into the streets.” Pot being illegal pushed him into the streets. YEAH RIGHT! Evidently his brain has been damaged. The drug is ILLEGAL, therefore he should get arrested anywhere he uses it – whether he is at home or in the streets. The only place he or anyone else using pot for that matter should have been was at HOME and not in a public place – and he was in a public place after hours as a matter of fact! WOW

  2. Pretty sickening that it sounds like this town is turning into a bunch of pot smoking dope heads. Every time someone gets busted I see post after post defending the person arrested. From the sound of how and where some of these people are arrested, they really dont need anything external altering their brain, its screwed up enough already without it.

    1. that is a step forward, anything to get away from all the drunks that endanger people every day and night

  3. well, its not legal yet Ed in Washington County and there has ALWAYS been a curfew in the city parks..If you are doing something thats not harming anyone else, don’t do it in the park where you are sticking out like a sore thumb..smh…

  4. Another one. He should not have been at the park smoking at three in the morning. It should be legal so he can smoke at home and stay off the street. Washington County needs to look at Harris County’s new bill about marijuana possession and take something like that into consideration.

    1. They SHOULD, but probably won’t, because you know how Washington county is. They LOVE busting people for cannabis. I honestly wouldn’t be able to live with myself if I had to arrest people for cannabis possession. SMH.

      1. The border to go from Washington County to Harris County is wide open. No walls.
        You are free. Use it.
I’m guessing you came from Harris to Washington some time well past both beginnings.
Like “if you hadn’t appeared on earth to save us from ourselves” all of us born before you would have been left in our stupidity”
If you find a place better suited for your needs, please don’t let us stop you.

        1. I am from Washington County born and raised. I don’t let where I grew up and live to shape my thinking. How about you leave then? I choose to stay here as fight the good fight for people who don’t have a voice. If you want to stay in the 1800s time of good ol German czeck Brenham go down to heritage museum. Otherwise open your eyes. Times see changing and you can’t handle it. Like you said no walls. Go live in West Texas with all the desert if you don’t want to change or different people around. Washington County is right in between houston and Austin and know as a trap. If someone has pounds of marijuana i understand an arrest. But for the amouny of weed someone could but in their pocket no one should go to jail or prison for that that’s all I’m saying.

    2. In response to Times are Changing If he had stayed home he probably would not have gotten arrested, It amazes me that so many people who want to go out to do drugs always go to a park where there is a curfew It’s a sure sign to the police that they are up to no good after hours, I guess that is what drugs do to someone’s Brain , They no longer can think logically. and to anyone that says It should be legal , It is not legal now so they should get arrested. with that logic if someone murdered someone would your defense be ” It should be legal” therefore I should not be arrested” ?

      1. You totally missed the point ken. If you noticed I said nothing bad about the police officers or anything. All I said was he would not have beenot at the park at all if the drug wasn’t illegal and pushing people into the streets. He broke the law and should be arrested. I never slandered the police who arrested him. They did their job. And what are you talKing about murder for ? That’s the probelm with marijuana prohibition. People always want to equate a harmless natural substance to something extreme like murder. People don’t kill people when they consume thc. Do some research

        1. Why smoke at the park though? just do it at your home if you don’t want to get caught. I didn’t realize that since weed is illegal that you could only use it in the streets? Hot-diggity-dog Times are changing, I learn something new every day. Thanks!

    3. This is not a legal drug for a reason. I have seen what this drug does to people. It damages your brain and the damage is irreversible. It is also considered a gateway drug because it eventually leads to one needing a different drug because it takes so much to get high. President Trump is doing a good thing by cracking down on places that are legalizing it. It is still against federal law. Plus, if it’s illegal, don’t do it unless you want to pay the price. We do have the freedom to CHOOSE to do something illegal but with that, we are CHOOSING the consequences.

      1. Well I see stupid all over this. I don’t do this but if you r stupid enough to go out at 3 am to a park to smoke dope you need some type of help. Anyone think that this is ok also needs help.
