BRENHAM MAN CHARGED WITH RESISTING ARREST
(Washington Co. Jail)
A Brenham man faces several charges, including resisting arrest.
54-year old Gregory Britton was arrested after police were called to the 2200 Block of Old Chappell Hill Rd, in reference to a reported intoxicated person walking in the roadway.
Cpl. Richard Bobbitt located Britton, who Bobbitt says was very uncooperative.
Bobbitt says Britton appeared to be intoxicated and when he attempted to place him under arrest, Britton resisted.
With the assistance of other officers, Bobbitt placed Britton in custody and he was transported to the Washington County Jail.
Britton is charged with: Public intoxication; Obstructing highway or other passageway; and Resisting Arrest.
