BRENHAM MAN CHARGED WITH SEXUAL ASSAULT

  

A Brenham man has been charged with aggravated sexual assault after an incident that occurred Sunday in the 400 Block of Baber Street.

Officers responded Sunday morning at 10:30 after the victim was able to get free and call the police.

She said the suspect, forty-three year old Christopher James Fielder, began attacking her in the early morning hours, and she had finally been able to escape through a window.

Fielder fled on foot, and officers were able to locate him hiding on the back porch of a residence on Rippetoe.

He is currently being held in the Washington County Jail, and is charged with Aggravated Sexual Assault, Assault Family Member with Intent to Impeded Breath, Unlawful Restraint, Interfering with an Emergency Call, and Assault Causing Bodily Injury with a Prior Conviction.

A total bond for all of the charges has been set at $335,400
