BRENHAM MAN CHARGED WITH VIOLATING PROTECTIVE ORDER

A Brenham man faces a third charge of Violating a Protective Order, after his arrest late Monday night.
Just after 11:30 p.m., Officer Jose Perez responded to the 400 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway in reference to a criminal trespass.
According to Perez, 29-year old Leonard Ray Basey of Brenham appeared distraught and said he was concerned about his former girlfriend’s welfare.
Basey said he had just left the residence for which there is an active protective order preventing him from being on the property.
Basey was arrested and charged with Violation of a Protective Order with two previous convictions, a third class felony.
