A Brenham man found out the hard way that trying to eat marijuana during a traffic stop just gets you into more trouble.

At 8 o’clock last night, Cpl. Justin Schiller conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Market and Main streets. Schiller said the driver appeared nervous and had several pieces of a green substance in his mouth and on his shirt.  The piece on his shirt field tested positive for marijuana and the driver admitted he had eaten the marijuana prior to being stopped. During a probable cause search of the car, drug paraphernalia was found.

Arrested and charged with tampering with evidence and possession of drug paraphernalia was Michael Aaron Parker, age 25, of Brenham.
