BRENHAM MAN FACES ASSAULT, FLEEING & RESISTING ARREST CHARGES

  

A Brenham man faces multiple charges after his arrest late Sunday night.

22-year old Hector Martinez-Espino tried to flee police after an alleged assault.

Around 10:30 p.m., Officer Jose Perez was to the 700 block of West Main in reference to an assault.

The caller said a man had broken into the residence and attacked a woman.

The suspect, identified as Martinez-Espino, fled in his vehicle. Perez and Sgt. Kelvin Raven located the vehicle and gave chase.

Martinez-Espino eventually stopped in the 700 block of Muse St. and tried to flee on foot.  He was eventually captured and resisted arrested.

He is charged with Burglary of a habitation with the intent to commit assault; Evading arrest and Resisting arrest.
