BRENHAM MAN FACES MULTIPLE CHARGES

A Brenham man faces several charges after his arrest early Sunday morning.
22-year old John Gia Nguyen was pulled over by Officer Eddie Marinez shortly after midnight at the intersection of State Highway 36 and Blue Bell Road.
During questioning, Nguyen admitted to having marijuana and a handgun in the vehicle.
During a search, officers found other narcotics as well.
Nguyen is charged with Unlawful Carrying a Weapon, Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Marijuana.
