A Brenham man is in custody after his arrest on a stolen vehicle charge.

21-year old Patrick Michael Howley was arrested Tuesday afternoon in connection with a stolen vehicle, reported Monday.

Monday night a woman contacted police that her grandson had taken her car without her permission.  That car was later found in Navasota with no sign of Howley.

Tuesday afternoon, police located Howley at a residence in the 700 block of Burleson St.

According to Brenham officers, Howley resisted arrest, but was eventually subdued and detained.

Howley is charged with Unauthorized use of a Motor Vehicle and Resisting Arrest.

Howley is being held in the Washington County Jail, en lieu of $51,500 bond.

  1. $50,000 bond? Washington County and their bonds.. Outrageous. In College Station the bond would be 5-10k max.

    1. If it was your car that was stolen or vandalized how much should the bond be? My answer, is ALOT! I am tired of catch and release, it’s time to send strong message to criminals like this one, do the crime and you will do the time!

    2. Maybe its not the first time he’s been arrested! Maybe the court system is tired of these criminals. If you can’t do the time don’t do the crime. Simple
