BRENHAM MAN PASSES AWAY AFTER ATV ACCIDENT IN CHAPPELL HILL
A Brenham man died Wednesday after sustaining injuries in an ATV accident over the weekend.
38-year-old Johnny Gray was involved in an ATV accident in Chappell Hill Saturday morning. Gray was taken to a hospital in Bryan where he was in a coma until Wednesday.
Gray’s brother Dylan Adams was also injured in the accident. He has since been released from the hospital after undergoing wrist surgery.
Gray was a part owner of Bellville Fitness Plus. “He was proud of that and helped build the business from the ground up. He had a long list of clients and friends who will miss him greatly” said friend Willie Kmiec.
Described as “the definition of someone who lived life to the fullest”, Gray was an organ donor. Kmiec says Gray was able to donate the gift of life to multiple people before he passed away, including the mother of a close friend.
A memorial service for Johnny Gray will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in Brenham Memorial Chapel.

My dad was an amazing, unpredictable one of a kind man.. they always say “god has a plan” and I think that god needed a hero up there.. so he chose my daddy.. It’s hard, it really is.. going day to day not receiving a call, or text from him.. for a while I told myself it wasnt true. The person he was, The person he turned me into.. he shaped many people’s lives.. i know for a fact my dad won’t be forgotten. And that helps, knowing how loved he was.. he’s taught me to be good to others.. He’s taught me to live my life to the fullest.. he’s taught me that no matter what life gives you, to make the best from it.. I love you dad. I’ll see you again someday. Love your little girl, Zozo

I was Johnny hairdresser for the longest time before I left town. He was a good man. He loved his Presley very much. The conversation we had was by text. I had wished him Merry Christmas and he ask me when I was coming back. I told him that I like making movies in Austin. I will miss him. Such a big loss to the community and his family. Prayers ?? to everyone. RIP Johnny.
One of the most genuine people I have known! So grateful for the time I knew him.

Johnny will be deeply missed by all the clients he helped to get in shape and become healthier. He was an excellent personal trainer, always positive and cheerful. I was so impressed to hear that he was an organ donor. His love of life and giving nature will be forever remembered. Go with God, Dear One. May your reward be great .
IL never forget you my friend!
I’ve known johnny for over 30 years. We’ve been like brothers. It’s such a loss and very painful to me. I’ve been in Tennessee for the last couple years and just got back here in the area within the month. I was planning to come see him to catch up. Now I will be attending his memoral service. It really kills me. But, he is in a much better place, and he’s helping several others as a last act of greatness. He has many who love and will miss him. I love you brother…be with the angels.
Please keep Johnny’s children and step children in your prayers. He loved them all so very much. Johnny was a wonderful friend to so many and he is going to be extremely missed.
