BRENHAM MAN SENTENCED FOR FAILURE TO REGISTER AS A SEX OFFENDER

  

Convicted verticalA Brenham man has been sentenced to prison after failing to register as a sex offender.

34-year old Freddie Lee Franklin was sentenced in 21st District Court by Judge Reeva Towslee Corbett.

Franklin entered a guilty plea and was sentenced to four years behind bars on the third-degree felony.

Also in this week’s session of district court:

29-year old Michael Wayne Gerhard of Conroe had his probation revoked and was sentenced to 11 months in prison for a 2011 conviction for Theft of Copper – Less than $20,000.  Gerhard was also fined $1000.

25-year old Ethan Jeanes of Magnolia was placed on five years probation and fined $1000 for Felony Driving While Intoxicated – Third Offense.  Jeanes was must also spend 10 days in the Washington County Jail, enter a DWI intervention program, perform 200 hours of Community Service and complete a 12-month program with Teen Challenge of Texas.

42-year old Thomas Wayne Peters of Katy was placed on four years probation and fined $1500 for Felony Driving While Intoxicated with a Child Under 15 Years of Age.  Peters must also perform 200 hours of community service, enter a DWI intervention program and have an interlocking device placed on his vehicle.

  1. Wow. 4 years in prison for the heinous crime of missing paperwork. 10 days in jail and probation for third (3!) time driving while intoxicated.

    All in the name of “saving the childrenz”…. strange priorities.
