BRENHAM MAN SENTENCED TO 10 YEARS ON CRIMINAL CHARGES

  

A Brenham man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to two charges in the latest session of 21st District Court.

19-year old Zachary Charles Moerbe, pleaded guilty to Indecency with a Child and Aggravated Asssult-Serious Bodily Injury.

Moerbe was arrested back in September of 2016 for Aggravated Assault.  He was sentenced to 10 years behind bars on that charge.  Then, just three days after his release from jail on that arrest, he was arrested on the Indecency with a Child charge.  He was sentenced to five years in that case.

Moerbe must also register as a sex offender after his release from prison.

Also in district court:

32-year old Patrick Valle of Chappell Hill was sentenced to three years in prison after pleading guilty to violating his Sex Offenders Duty to Register with a previous conviction.

Valle was originally arrested back in September of 2013.

48-year old Sandra Renee Tillman of Brenham was placed on three years’ probation and fined $500 for Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Tillman was also ordered to perform 100 hours of community service.

And, 33-year old Sterling Walton of Houston was placed on two years’ probation for Tampering with a Government Record.

Walton was also fined $1,000 and ordered to perform 25 hours of community service.
