BRENHAM MEN ARRESTED ON MARIJUANA CHARGES

  

Brenham police have made two arrests for marijuana possession.

19-year old Carlos Manuel Torres and 25-year old Lawrence Matthew Daye, both of Brenham, were arrested in separate incidents.

Wednesday morning, just after 9:30, Officer Andrew Adams and Cpl. David Dudenhoeffer conducted a traffic stop in the intersection of Burleson and Wilkins streets.

During the the stop, Torres admitted to having marijuana.

He is charged with Possession of Marijuana.

Wednesday night, shortly before 11:00, Officer Terrence Johnson responded to Hohlt Park, on Lounge Road, in reference to a man smoking marijuana in the parking lot.

Sgt. Kelvin Raven, who was assisting, says he saw marijuana on the driver side floor board.

Daye admitted the marijuana was his.  He is charged with Possession of Marijuana in a Drug Free Zone.
