BRENHAM POLICE ARREST MAN WITH PHONY I.D.’S

A Brenham man has been arrested for having a false identification.
Monday morning around 8:00, Officer Ashley Burns responded to the 100 block of US 290 W in reference to a fraudulent identification card.
The card indicated it belonged to a Brenham man who was 6’3’’ but the man who had the card was much shorter.
39-year old Teodoro Ramirez-Mata of Brenham admitted that the ID card was false, telling Burns he needed one for work.
Ramirez-Mata was arrested and while a property inventory was conducted at the jail, a social security card was found.
The number was checked through DPS and was also found to be fraudulent.
Ramirez-Mata is charged with having a False ID or DL; Fraudulent use or possession of identifying information; and Failure to identify.
