  1. Hey Buck – who charged you for that made up crimes?

    I don’t need a license, but I do carry two pistols with me at all times LOADED and an assault rife in my trunk loaded and just waiting to be used.

    If you carry a pistol in your car it’s ok as long as a person walking by your car can’t see it in plain view. Since you don’t have license to carry a conceal hand gun, you’re under no obligation to tell the police officer that you have a gun in your car.

    My most favorite part of Texas is that I can walk down any street carrying an assault rifle and it’s totally legal. Yes it can be loaded when you carry.

  2. If you are a know n gang member it is illegal to carry a gun period. Just like being a felon or carrying a gun while you have drugs.

  3. Anyone over 21 in Texas is allowed to carry a pistol in their car with out a gun license. It only becomes unlawful to have a pistol in your car, is when you are committing a crime or in this case having drugs in the car.

    1. They charged me with the same thing because I had a gun the car according to them the gun able clip cannot be in the same location meaning if the gun is in the car your clip has to be in the truck and if the gun is in the trunk the clip can be inside the car unless you have a gun case that’s locked with a key r you have the gun in clip in the globe box that is locked with a key and the clip cannot be in the gun at all nor ammo in the chamber at anytime……pretty stupid to me but that’s how its is

      1. If what your are saying is correct, then the police were wrong. This is the state code. A handgun carried in a car has to be concealed unless you have a carry license.

        Sec. 46.02. UNLAWFUL CARRYING WEAPONS. (a) A person commits an offense if the person intentionally, knowingly, or recklessly carries on or about his or her person a handgun, illegal knife, or club if the person is not:
        (1) on the person’s own premises or premises under the person’s control; or
        (2) inside of or directly en route to a motor vehicle or watercraft that is owned by the person or under the person’s control.
        (a-1) A person commits an offense if the person intentionally, knowingly, or recklessly carries on or about his or her person a handgun in a motor vehicle or watercraft that is owned by the person or under the person’s control at any time in which:
        (1) the handgun is in plain view, unless the person is licensed to carry a handgun under Subchapter H, Chapter 411, Government Code, and the handgun is carried in a shoulder or belt holster; or
        (2) the person is:
        (A) engaged in criminal activity, other than a Class C misdemeanor that is a violation of a law or ordinance regulating traffic or boating;
        (B) prohibited by law from possessing a firearm; or
        (C) a member of a criminal street gang, as defined by Section 71.01.
