BRENHAM POLICE ARREST TWO FOR ASSAULT

Two Brenham men have been arrested and charged with assault in separate cases from this past weekend.
Sunday morning around 8:30, Cpl. Todd Ashorn saw a man and woman engaged in an argument in the 1000 block of Prairie Lea St.
Ashorn pulled up behind the alleged victim’s vehicle.
According to Ashorn, 24-year old Anthony Michael Adcock, who had been standing outside the woman’s vehicle began walking away, but stopped when Ashorn stopped him.
Both subjects said they had gotten into a verbal then physical altercation and the female said the man had choked her. Ashorn said he did observe marks around the woman’s neck.
Adcock was arrested and charged with Assault family violence, impeding breathing.

Monday morning around 3:00, Officer Terrence Johnson responded to the 900 block of Schomburg St. in reference to an assault.
The caller said her daughter was being assaulted by her boyfriend, 50-year old Raymond Glen Gandy of Brenham.
When Johnson arrived at the residence, the victim said Gandy had assaulted her.
Gandy was arrested and charged with Class A Assault causing bodily injury/family violence.
