BRENHAM POLICE ARREST WILLIS WOMAN ON DRUG CHARGES
A Willis woman faces drug charges after a traffic stop Monday morning in Brenham.
Just after 8:30 a.m., Officer Sierra Newell conducted a traffic stop in the 1700 block of Highway 105.
The driver, 45-year old Dawn Lenora Thompson of Willis, said she had prescription medicine in her vehicle.
Among the prescribed medicine was Valium, which Thompson admitted she didn’t have a prescription for.
During an inventory of the vehicle, authorities located five syringes, two with liquid in them that tested positive for methamphetamines.
Thompson is charged with Possession of a controlled substance under 1 gram and Possession of a dangerous drug
