BRENHAM POLICE HOSTING PILL TAKE BACK EVENT SATURDAY
This Saturday, members of the community will have an opportunity to safely dispose of unwanted medications.
The Brenham Police Department in partnership with the Community Alcohol & Substance Awareness Partnership will hold the 2017 Prescription Pill Take-Back Event, from 7:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
It is a chance to clean out medicine cabinets of expired, excess or unused prescribed medications.
In addition to reducing the potential dangers of overdoses and intoxication of small children, teens and young adults, the pill take-back event will ensure disposed drugs will not accidentally find their way into the water supply.
The collection site will be at the Brenham Police Department, located at 1800 Longwood Drive, just off of Prairie Lea St., 400 feet southwest of Highway 290.
Thank you for holding the pill take back. Getting rid of old medications safely is difficult. It was a very fast and easy process.
