BRENHAM POLICE INVESTIGATE HIT AND RUN ACCIDENTS

  

Brenham Police are investigating a pair of hit and run incidents.

Thursday morning, around 4:45 a.m. Corporal Steven Eilert was called to the Washington County Jail, where a woman turned herself in on an outstanding warrant.

24-year old Betty Gabriel of Spring is accused of striking a bench, light pole, and trash can owned by the City of Brenham, early Sunday morning, then fleeing the scene.

Gabriel reportedly left behind her inoperable vehicle.

Gabriel contacted authorities and confessed to leaving the scene of the accident

Thursday night, just before 7:00, police were called to another hit and run in the parking lot at Brenham Fitness in the 2100 Block of S. Market Street.

The caller says someone struck his vehicle and left the scene.

Damage is estimated to cost approximately $1,500.00.

This case remains under investigation.
