BRENHAM POLICE MAKE MARIJUANA ARRESTS
A Houston man and a woman from San Marcos face marijuana charges after their arrests in separate cases this weekend.
Saturday night, just before 9:00 pm, Officer Hunter Andras pulled over a vehicle for failing to stop at the intersection of Prairie Lea and College.
Andras says he could smell marijuana coming from the vehicle could see a puff of smoke when the driver rolled down her window.
A search of the passenger’s purse turned up marijuana.
20-year old Jasmine Armani Scott, of San Marcos, admitted the purse was hers.
She is charged with Possession of marijuana under 2 oz in a drug free zone.
Sunday morning, around 4:00, Cpl. Eddie Ortega was dispatched to the 1300 block of Jackson Street in reference to a noise complaint.
When he arrived, he says he saw a vehicle exiting the park. He followed the vehicle, which stopped on Jackson St.
Ortega says he could smell a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.
During a search he found a bag of marijuana under the front passenger seat.
21-year old Nathaneil Alexandor Scott of Houston admitted the marijuana was his.
He is charged with Possession of marijuana under 2 oz in a drug free zone.
