BRENHAM POLICE MAKE POSSESSION ARRESTS

  

A Brenham man faces a marijuana possession charge after a Wednesday night traffic stop.

29-year old Bennie Earl Byrd was arrested after his car was pulled over by Officer Ashley Burns, Wednesday night just before 8:00.

Burns pulled over Byrd’s car in the 2700 block of South Market.  Burns says she could smell marijuana and found some in the vehicle.

Byrd is charged with Possession of marijuana between 4-and-5 ounces.

A Houston man is charged with marijuana possession after a Wednesday morning traffic stop in Brenham.

22-year old Rodrick Dontae Johnson was in a vehicle that was pulled over in the 2100 block of Highway 290 West just before 10 a.m.

Officer Jose Perez says he could smell marijuana, and Johnson had a baggie of it with him.

Johnson was charged with Possession of marijuana under 2 oz.
