BRENHAM POLICE MAKE WEEKEND ARRESTS

  

Brenham police report a pair of arrests for marijuana possession over the weekend.

Friday night, 23-year old Deirdre Symone Johnson of Austin was pulled over for a traffic stop in the 100 block of HWY 290.

Officer Mickey Gressman says he could smell marijuana.

A search of the car led to Johnson’s arrest for Possession of Marijuana.

Saturday night, Cpl. Terrence Johnson and Officer Jason Kasprowicz were patrolling in the 200 block of US Hwy 290 West, looking for a wanted person.

They located 29-year old Michael Ray Hooks of Brenham, and arrested him on outstanding warrants.  During his arrest, police also found marijuana.

Hooks was taken into custody.
