BRENHAM POLICE REPORT

  

Officer Kevin Mertz observed a female subject slumped over her steering wheel in the parking lot of 1100 block of Green St.

Mertz made contact with the driver, who appeared to be disoriented and intoxicated.

After talking with her, the driver, forty-year-old Melanie Elaine Schmidt of Fayetteville, admitted that there was a small amount of methamphetamine in the vehicle.

She was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, and was taken to the Washington County Jail.
