BRENHAM POLICE WARNING ABOUT ARREST SCAM

  

Brenham police are warning residents about a new scam telling people they have a warrant for their arrest and will end up in jail unless they send the scammer money. The alleged warrant is contained in an email with the following message:

“Case-93-QV-04869

We received arrest warrant against your name under ACT 79 ACT 76 ACT 48. Kindly call as soon as possible before the case is downloaded into the court house in order to get brief information about the case before you have any trouble at your home or job.”

The email is signed by a Frank Hamilton, #832-224-8192. The email address is frank.hamilton_atlaw@outlookc.om

If anyone receives an email such as this, they are encouraged to call their local law enforcement agency for verification.
