BRENHAM SCHOOL BOARD TO SWEAR IN NEW MEMBERS
The oath of office will be administered to three new members of the Brenham School Board, when the board meets Monday night.
The board will canvass the results of the May 9th election, then swear in new board members Dr. Michael Altman, Sgt. Kelvin Raven and Mark Schneider.
They will be succeeding Dr. Donald Draehn, Ray Weiss and Marshall Harrell; who each decided not to run for reelection.
Current board member Susan Jenkins will also be sworn in after she defeated former member Carey Counsil for reelection.
The board will also recognize the district’s 2014-15 teachers of the year, as well as State competitors from FCCLA and FFA.
The board is also expected to accept donations from the VFW and the Brenham Rotary Club.
The Brenham School Board meets Monday night at 5:30 in the lecture rooms at Brenham High School.
