BRENHAM SPECIAL OLYMPIANS COMPETE AT OAK RIDGE

The Brenham Special Olympics track team traveled to Oak Ridge High School on Saturday, April 1 to compete in the Woodlands Kiwanis Special Olympics Field and Track Event.

According to Coach Angela Moore, the athletes, "...did an outstanding job," in the following events:

BMS:
Riley Janes - 100M dash-6th place, Softball Throw-SILVER

BJHS:
Andrew Kunkel - 100M dash-7th place, Mini Javelin Throw-GOLD
MaKenzie Palacios - 100M dash-6th place, Mini Javelin Throw-SILVER

BHS:
Christian Grawunder - 200M run-GOLD, Mini Javelin Throw-GOLD
McKenzie LaSagna - 25M wheelchair- GOLD, Tennis ball Throw-SILVER
Cheyenne Tuck - 200M run-SILVER, Mini Javelin Throw-SILVER
Cole Wright - 100M Dash-6th place, Mini Javelin Throw-SILVER

These athletes will continue to train for their next meet at the Area Level Spring Games May 5-6 in College Station.
