BRENHAM TENNIS FALLS TO TOMBALL MEMORIAL

The Brenham Cub tennis team lost a close match against Tomball Memorial Tuesday 10 to 6.

According to Coach Roy Thibodeaux, it was a tough loss for the Cubs after coming off a good win against Bryan.  "We played good and I was impressed how everyone was working hard and never gave up."

Winning for the Cubs were #2 Boys doubles Dalton Barron/Gunnar Smith 8-5.  #3 Boys doubles Hunter Griffin/Spencer Flynn.

Winners in singles were #1 Boys Aren Holt 6-4, 6-0, #2 Boys Dalton Barron 6-1, 6-3.  #4 Boys Spencer Flynn 6-3, 6-0, and #5 Boys Gunnar Smith 6-2, 6-0.

"I knew heading into the match their girls were going to be tough and we played some competitive matches, however were not able to pull them out," said Thibodeaux.  "I am happy where we are now as a team and I know we will get better as the season moves on."

The tennis team will travel to Magnolia West for their next match on September 1st.
