BRENHAM WOMAN ARRESTED AFTER FLEEING POLICE

A Brenham woman is in custody after leading local police on a brief foot chase.

Officer Hunter Andras was called out around 9:15, Monday morning to a report of a suspicious person in the 300 block of St. Charles Street.

According to Andras, 24-year old Cykethia Blue of Brenham tried to flee, before she was located in the back yard of a residence on Tom Green St.

Blue reportedly resisted arrest before she was eventually placed in handcuffs and put into the back of a patrol car.

However, she was able to escape the back of the vehicle and fled on foot, before whe was taken back into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail.

Blue is charged with Evading Arrest/Detention, Escape from Custody and Resisting Arrest.

  1. Like she didn’t even do nothing yea she ran but she wasn’t in trouble mabe she was scared of the police I would be to with all that’s going on they always abuse there power it didn’t say she had drugs on her or nothing

  2. My heart goes out to this young lady. She suffers with mental illness and she’s home less. I pray that the courts can do something to help. Putting her in jail is not the answer. She need help mentally. I really don’t understand our system. A person with mental illness needs to be provided mental health. She has refused help and all they can say is she has a right to refuse. She not in her right mind. So how you going to tell me she has a right to refuse help.the government needs to do more for people who suffer with this illness. I pray that someone reading this can help her.
