BUCS OPEN PLAY WEDNESDAY IN NATIONAL TOURNEY

The Blinn Buccaneers return to the NJCAA National Championship Tournament beginning Wednesday in St. George, Utah.

The Bucs (43-14) are the #5 seed, having won 11 of their last twelve, including a 4-1 record at the Region XIV Tournament last week in Lufkin.

Blinn will open with #12 seed Georgia Perimeter College (25-19), Wednesday at 5:00 CDT.  KWHI and www.kwhi.com will have live coverage beginning with the pre-game show with Keric Seegmiller at 4:40.

Another team with local ties will be making an appearance in the tournament.  Former Brenham Cubette outfielder Olivia Van Hook is a starting outfielder with Temple Junior College, the #7 seed in the tourney.

Temple faces #10-seed Miami-Dade at 7:30 CDT, Thursday night.

Van Hook’s former Cubette teammate, Alli Spivey is a starting outfielder for the Blinn Bucs.
