Bucs remain undefeated in conference after picking up 12th straight set

PASADENA, Texas – The Blinn College volleyball team won its first conference match on the road after downing San Jacinto College-Central, 3-0, on Wednesday night in Pasadena.

The Buccaneers downed San Jacinto by the score of 25-23, 25-21, and 25-23 to increase their overall record to 13-3 as they picked up their fifth straight win.

“It was really a nice match for us defensively,” said Kalie Mader, Blinn head coach. “It’s always tough playing on the road, but the team worked hard and worked together.”

Paola Marie Salas Adorno led the Buccaneers with 11 kills, while Roxanne Morris and Claire Chapman followed with seven each.

The Buccaneers have won 12 straight sets, while sweeping their last three opponents, to remain undefeated in the Region XIV Conference with a 4-0 record.

On Friday, Sept. 22 the Buccaneers will compete against Lee College at 6 p.m. in a conference match on the road.
