BUCS’ TRIO NAMED NJCAA ALL-AMERICANS

2014 njcaa AA storyThree members of the record-breaking Blinn Buccaneer offense have been named NJCAA All-Americans.

Wide receiver Dede Westbrook (6-1, 170, sophomore, Cameron) was named to the First Team Offense.

Westbrook caught 76 passes for 1487 yards (led the NJCAA) and 13 touchdowns.  He averaged 185.9 yards per game and 19.6 yards per reception.

Named Honorable mention were Jake Hubenak (6-3, 195, RS-freshman, Georgetown) and Damion Ratley (6-2, 190, freshman, Yoakum).

Hubenak completed 216 of 333 passes (64.9%) for 4,052 yards and 47 touchdowns.  He led the nation in yards and touchdowns in 2014.

Ratley caught 45 passes for 1197 yards and 20 touchdowns.  He averaged 149.6 yards per game and 26.6 yards per catch.

The Bucs led the nation, averaging 652.6 yards per game, and was third in points per game at 55.4.
