BUILDING PERMITS DOWN AGIAN IN OCTOBER

  

Building Permit totals were down again in Brenham for the month of October.  Brenham issued 21 permits for a total of $1.8 million.  In October of last year, 34 permits were issued for a total of $2.1 million.

In October, commercial construction permits totaled $1.4 million and residential construction totaled $452,000.  There was only one new home permit issued, but 5 permits were issued for manufactured homes.

Brenham is still slightly ahead in building permit totals for this year compared to the same date in 2016.  This year, 356 permits have been issued for $43 million compared to 328 permits for a total of $42.9 million in 2016.
