BUILDING PERMITS DOWN FOR FEBRUARY
Building permits for last month are down from January, with a February total of $709,892 compared with the total of $4,725,697 for January.
During the month of February, the city issued 20 total permits, with the largest being $125,000 for renovation at a new beauty school 1315 State Highway 105.
A $96,000 permit was issued for a new Papa John’s Pizza Restaurant at 228 Highway 290 West. Papa John’s will be located in the same center as the new Golden Imperial Chinese Restaurant.
The city also issued a $30,000 permit for a new concession stand at the Washington County Fairgrounds.
Four new residential permits were issued for a total of $274,460.
During February of 2014, $1,386,530 worth of permits were issued with 11 commercial permits were issues and 9 residential permits being issued.
