BUILDING PERMITS UP IN NOVEMBER

  

Twenty-one  building permits were issued by the City of Brenham in November totaling just over 4.5 million dollars.  The largest permit was for a 1 story addition and interior remodel to Citizens State Bank at their location on South Day Street.  That permit was for just over 4 million dollars.

Eleven of the November permits were for commercial construction, and 10 were for residential.  There were no new housing starts inside the city last month.

In November of 2014, 25 permits were issued totaling $ 1,367,276.  Although the number of building permits this year is down compared to last year, the dollar total is up.  Over 31 million dollars in permits have been issued so far this year compared to just under 25 million for the same date last year.
