BURLESON CO. MURDER TRIAL UNDERWAY

Burleson County’s first capital murder trial in over two years is underway, as as jurors heard testimony Friday morning detailing the investigation into the March 2015 shooting death of a 47-year-old Caldwell man.

Gavin Snow is accused of killing Steven Bryant during an alleged buglary in Caldwell.

Snow, who was 16 at the time of the killing has been certified to stand trial as an adult.  If convicted, he faces life in prison with the possibility of parole after 40 years.

Bryant's sister testified that on March 11th of 2015, she went to Bryant's mobile home after receiving a call from his employer asking why he didn't show up for work, and discovered her brother’s body.

Texas Ranger Chris Clark later testified that "it appeared that the deceased died of a gunshot wound" from a .38 snub-nosed revolver, a weapon that investigators have not found.

The trial continues at 8:30 a.m. Monday at the Burleson County Annex building.
