BURNING MATTRESS BRINGS OUT BRENHAM FIRE DEPARTMENT
The Brenham Fire Department were called out to a home late last (Tuesday) night.
Smoke was reported in a home in the 300 block of Boehm Circle, just after 10:00 p.m.
Firefighters found heavy smoke inside the residence, coming from a mattress burning in one of the bedrooms. The flames were extinguished and smoke was removed from the house.
No one was injured and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
It was part of a busy day for local firefighters who were called out to three false alarms and a call to a local restaurant where an employee forgot to turn on the ventilation system.
