BURTON BOARD OF TRUSTEES TO DISCUSS UPCOMING SCHOOL BOARD ELECTIONS
The Burton School Board of Trustees will consider ordering School Board Elections for May 9th for positions currently held by Marcus Broesche and Terri Smith during their regular school board meeting scheduled for Monday, February 16th, at 6:30pm.
This will be the school board meeting for the new Burton ISD superintendent Edna Kennedy.
The Board will also appoint Election Officials and discuss Election Procedures.
Also on the agenda is consideration of the proposed calendar for the 2015-2016 school year and consideration of designating funds from the sale of the old Elementary School property.
There will also be a consideration of approval of the Low Attendance Waiver Application to the Texas Education agency for the date of December 15, 2014 because of excessive absenteeism due to Student Illness attributed to the flu.
Also to be discussed are contracts for Athletic Director, Burton Special Services Cooperative Director, Principal and Counselor, and consider approval of the pay for Interim Superintendent.
The Burton School Board will meet Monday at 6:30pm at the Administration Office at 701 North Railroad Street in Burton.
