BURTON CELEBRATES ITS COTTON GIN
The Burton Cotton Gin Festival celebrated its 26th year, kicking off with an all-you-can- eat shrimp boil Friday night.
Saturday, the fun got underway with a parade on Main Street, followed by plenty of family activities, food and craft booths, a children’s barnyard, tractor pull and tours of the historic 1914 Burton Farmer’s Gin.
Music was furnished by the Dujka Brothers, and then later by the Winedale German Singers and Allison Crowson.
KTEX106 and KWHI 1280 broadcasted live from the Festival.

I attended this festival since it began! Its great fun for a family. Just wish they still had the carnival for the now grandkids…had it when my kids were young!
