BURTON COUNCIL CONSIDER SEWER & WATER RATES

  

The Burton City Council will consider sewer and water rates when they meet Monday night.

The council will consider the second reading of an ordinance regulating residential wastewater rates.

The council approved an increase of $1.21—from $21.79 to $23.00.

Also under consideration will be approval of increasing the residential water rate from $28 to $32 – an increase of $4.

The new rates will go into effect, January first.

The council will also consider final reading of an ordinance to authorize abandonment and conveying property on Trinity St. as a part of the proposed new site for a new EMS station for the city.

The Burton City Council meets at 5:30 Monday at City Hall.
