BURTON ISD TO DISCUSS CONTRACTS TONIGHT

The Burton School Board will again consider the contracts for the Athletic Director and the two school Principals during their meeting tonight (Monday).

The contracts were discussed during executive session in February, but no action was taken by the board.  Currently, Athletic Director Jason Hodde’s contract runs until August 31st of 2019.  Principals Melinda Fuchs and Karen Steenken's contracts do not expire until June 30th of 2019.

Also on the agenda for Monday’s meeting, the board will consider the purchase of several school busses and consider hiring a Speech Pathologist Assistant for the Burton Special Services Cooperative.

The Burton School Board meets tonight (Monday) at 6:30 PM at the Administrative Offices.

  1. Hoping that you take a hard look at the AD’s contract. Think it may be time for a change. Some one with better leadership skills and shows respect for all students and staff at Burton ISD is needed. Feel C Hodde has made some moves that weren’t in the best interest of our school.
Disappointed in some of the action that Dr. Kennedy has taken part in the past year. Maybe a change is needed there too.
Take a closer look. Research. Listen to the community.
