A Burton man is in Brenham Police custody after his arrest last (Thursday) night after an alleged burglary.

25-year old Brandon Patterson is charged with Theft between $2500 and $30,000 and with Evading Arrest with a prior conviction.

Thursday night around 11:30, Cpl. Steven Eilert responded to a burglary in progress at A&J Tire Shop in the 900 block of Highway 105.

Authorities were able to locate the suspect’s vehicle, which fled the scene and eventually came to a stop at the intersection of North Chappell Hill and Main.

Once Patterson was detained, Eilert was able to see his vehicle was filled with tire rims, with more in the trunk.

The owner of the business said approximately $3,000 worth of tire rims had been stolen.

  1. Once again, all the energy & work expended in committing crimes like this, is much more work than an actual job would require. “Instant gratification” is the name of the game today.
