BURTON MAN ARRESTED ON LONG LIST OF CHARGES

A Burton man has been arrested on a slew of felony warrants.

47-year old William White was arrested by Washington Co. Sheriff’s deputies, Thursday.

According to Sheriff Otto Hanak, deputies saw White driving on FM 1948 near Long Point Road.

Deputies knew White was wanted on felony warrants for the Brenham Police Department.

White was eventually stopped near the intersection of FM 1948 and Highway 36 where he was arrested without incident.

During the inventory of White’s vehicle, drug paraphernalia and a plastic baggie which tested positive for methamphetamines were located.

Deputies also learned that White had an outstanding warrant in Harris County.

White was transferred to the Washington County Jail where he was charged and remains in custody.

White was wanted on two warrants for Burglary of a Building, and one for Theft of a Firearm in Washington County, and Failure to Appear/Criminal Mischief from Harris County.

He is also charged with: Theft, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Evading Arrest in a Motor Vehicle.

His bonds on all charges total: $76,900.
