BURTON PANTHERS SET STATE SEMI-FINAL GAME AGAINST TENAHA
The Burton Panther Football Team has set their State semi-final game against Tenaha. Burton will play Thursday evening at 7:00 at Crockett High School. Burton will be the visiting team. Ticket prices are $7 for adults and $5 for students. If you can't make it to the game, KWHI will have all the action live on AM 1280 and kwhi.com.

Why Crockett ? State Semi Final Game should be some place like Nacogdoches’ Steven F Austin or Huntsville Sam Houston Stadium ? We get to this point and do THAT ?
No press box, all bleachers ! Besides nearly a home game for them. WHAT WERE WE THINKING !
The difference for the two is a half hour – 1:56 Burton, 1:36 them.
It’s close to equidistant… though I DO agree SHSU or another school fairer. (SFA would be a bigger advantage for Teneha)
We attended a Rockdale playoff game in Crockett a couple of weeks ago. Stadium is named Monte Jack Driskill Memorial Stadium Take Highway 21. You will cross I35 in Madisonville. In downtown Madisonville stop and treat yourself at Rancho Viejo Mexican Food. It is at the downtown square across from the courthouse. The parking lot is next to the Dairy Queen. Right off 21. Get back on 21. It will merge with highway 7 outside of Crockett. Go right. Will come to Loop 304, go right.! The school is on the left, stadium is behind the school. Visitor side is side without pressbox. When you turn in, stay left and the parking lot is behind some buildings. It is all bleachers, take stadium seats if you have them.
