BURTON SCHOOL BOARD OFFICIALLY HIRES NEW SUPERINTENDENT

  

 

Edna Kennedy smallThe Burton School Board of Trustees announced the employment of Edna Kennedy as the new superintendent of the Burton ISD at their meeting Tuesday night.

Kennedy was named finalist on January 20th, and will be coming to Burton from the Marion School District near Seguin, a Class 3A district.

Kennedy give her thoughts on her hiring being finalized:

 

The Board announced Kenney’s salary per year at $102,000.

Kennedy will replace James Palmer, who retired after spending 12 years with the Burton School District.

Kennedy’s first day will be February 16th, and on February 26th, there will be an Open House to meet the new superintendent from 5pm to 7pm in the cafeteria.

The next school board meeting will also be on February 16th at 6:30pm
