School district officials say they do not expect any major changes for the 2014-15 school year, and that included the property tax rate.

Superintendent James Palmer says the district does not anticipate any changes in the current tax rate, which stands at $1.17 per hundred-dollars valuation — $1.04 for maintenance and operations and 13 cents for interest and sinking fund.

Palmer said the district is still waiting on final property value numbers on property values.

Palmer also says he anticipates the ‘Robin Hood; demands on the budget to remain the same.”

Palmer said the district’s recent acquisition of a low-interest loan, called Qualified Zone Academy Bonds will have a positive impact on the new budget.

Trustees are also expected to discuss an offer on the old elementary school campus.

School trustees will hold a budget workshop at 6 p.m. in the administration
