UPDATE – BURTON SCHOOL BOARD TO MEET MONDAY EVENING

Burton School Superintendent Dr. Edna Kennedy says there are no plans to discuss the hiring, firing or resignations of personnel at Monday night’s Burton School Board meeting.

Kennedy says the agenda sent out to the news media on Friday did list an executive session for discussing personnel, with action to follow in regular session.  And the agenda listed an item for the hiring of personnel and the accepting of resignations.  However, Kennedy says the Burton School Board routinely puts those items on its agenda just in case something comes up dealing with personnel.

Other routine items on the agenda for Monday include hearing reports from the superintendent and the principals, discussing the financial reports, and casting votes for the Washington County Appraisal Board of Directors.

The Burton School Board will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the Administration Office at 701 North Railroad Street in Burton.
