BURTON WOMAN HONORED BY HLS&R

A Burton woman’s volunteer work with the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo has been honored by that organization.

Next year, Donna Webster’s 25 years of service to the Rodeo’s School Art Committee will be honored as one of five Trailblazer Award recipients.

Honorees have served as least ten years as a volunteer and served on at least two committees.

Webster has held the role of vice chairman, captain, district chairman and coordinator on the School Art Committee. She will assist management of the Grand Prix Judging at next year’s rodeo.

She has also served on Communications Special Services and currently serves on the Special Children’s committee, and was elected to the board of directors in 2012, where she has served on the Area Go Texan Directors subcommittee and headed up the Horticulture Task Force for two years before being asked to serve as the Horticulture Committee’s inaugural chairman with the role of growing and developing a new committee.

Webster is also involved in many local organizations such as Adam’s Angels, Miracle Farm, Camp for All, CASA for Kids, the Boys and Girls Club and Mission Brenham.

The 16th annual Trailblazer Awards luncheon and fashion show will be held February 5 at the Bayou City Event Center.
