CALDWELL ISD’s SUPERINTENDENT RESIGNS

With just two weeks before the start of the school year, Caldwell ISD’s superintendent has resigned.

In a special Thursday, August 4th meeting, Dr. Tim Cuff submitted his resignation, effective immediately. Dr. Cuff had been reassigned just over a month ago to be the new Caldwell superintendent. Dr. Cuff told the school board on Thursday that he accepted a position with Brownsville ISD as principal at Gonzalez Elementary School.

Dr. Joe Dan Lee takes over the Caldwell School District as the interim superintendent. Lee has over 28 years of experience. He has recently has been the interim superintendent at two other Texas school districts.

The school board has started the process of looking for a replacement for Cuff. They hope to name a finalist for the position on Wednesday, September 21st and officially have the new superintendent hired by Thursday, October 13th.
